What is Craniosacral Therapy?

The term craniosacral therapy is also composed of the words cranium (= skull) and (sacrum=) sacrum. The skull and sacrum are the anatomical boundaries of the central nervous system. This can be impaired after traumas (birth trauma and caesarean section), shock experiences, accidents, strokes, whiplash traumas, excessive emotions such as fear, anger, grief etc.. Through a gentle technique on the head and along the spine, a state of deep relaxation is brought about, the tissue in the central nervous system is mobilized and the blockages are released. You will quickly notice how tensions loosen over time with the help of craniosacral therapy.

How do the stresses on the nervous system affect me?

Blockages in the central nervous system may lead to developmental disorders, babies writing, concentration, speech and learning difficulties, hyperactivity, eye and jaw disorders, migraine, headaches, hearing loss and tinnitus, sleep disorders, depression, psychological stress, menstrual complaints and postures, motor disorders, overload syndromes and pain in the musculoskeletal system (joints, nerves, chronic tensions, etc.) and spinal complaints. Our physiotherapists Kathrin Wiesmüller and Sophie Horvath will be happy to advise you in detail about craniosacral therapy and its possible applications.
