In the surgery of Dr. Ilona Rost you can have your aeromedical examinations carried out by us. At the initial examination, i.e. when applying for your pilot's license, you will need a photo ID and an ophthalmological report from an ophthalmologist who must be accredited by Austro Control. Ophthalmologist Dr. Alexander Fous is accredited by Austro Control and can also provide you with appointments at short notice.

is your aviation medical expert. Currently she works exclusively in class 2 for
private pilots and flight students. She will be happy to answer your questions
and arrange an aeromedical examination at the Villa Medica in Mödling.

Our ophthalmologist Dr. Alexander Fous,
accredited by Austro Control, will be happy to provide you with the
ophthalmological findings after an eye examination. For this purpose, he also
offers appointments at short notice.

Dr. Nina Kramer conducts ENT examinations in aviation medicine and is also happy to arrange appointments at short notice.
Required documents for an aeromedical check-up
As part of the check-up at Dr. Rost we need various documents from you: the number of hours you have flown, your pilot's license, your last medical certificate and your photo ID. If the diopters of your glasses have changed, please bring your current spectacle passport with you for a check-up. If you wear contact lenses, please do not use them on the day of the examination!
When do you need to contact your AME?
In some cases you are obliged to report to your doctor. If you have doubts about your medical fitness, but also at the beginning of a regular intake of medication (e.g. blood pressure lowering medication, blood thinning medication, antidepressants, sedatives etc.), in the case of a surgical or invasive procedure, in the case of serious injuries or serious illness, if you are ill for more than 21 days, when you are admitted to hospital (irrespective of the duration of your stay) and when you are initially prescribed a corrective visual aid.
