The field of general dermatology comprises the diagnosis and treatment of various eczema diseases (neurodermitis, psoriasis, allergic eczema) as well as infectious skin diseases (fungal infections, bacterial and viral infections) up to acne therapy. Especially in the therapy of psoriasis, very efficient drugs, so-called biologics, have been developed in recent years, so that the very lengthy ointment therapy is increasingly receding into the background. Regular skin cancer screening is also essential; this is carried out by means of a video-documented mole control. Both black skin cancer (melanoma) and white skin cancer (basalioma, squamous cell carcinoma) have increased in recent years. Since the further course of these diseases depends largely on the timely diagnosis and therapy, skin cancer screening is an important part of the preventive examination. If necessary, suspicious changes can be removed on site on an outpatient basis.
Due to climate change and our Western lifestyle, allergies have increased significantly in our latitudes. It is also important here to make a timely diagnosis with a blood sample and an allergy test in order to take appropriate measures. Hyposensitization has been shown in studies to significantly improve symptoms and can also prevent a worsening of allergy. If necessary, allergy diagnostics and therapy are offered in the surgery.
In the field of aesthetic dermatology, the treatment of mimic wrinkles with botulinum toxin and the injection of wrinkles with hyaluronic acid are included. Disturbing vasodilatations and pigment spots can be removed very well with laser, and hair removal with laser epilation is also possible. Spider vein varices can be treated with sclerotherapy or laser. A fruit acid peeling improves pigmentation, acne and skin aging.
